Anyone for coffee?

Luis Arnal was interviewed in February by Research World, ESOMAR’s monthly publication. Migrating to a new product

A brand and communications research company needed first hand information on the transition to a new medication to treat a certain type of leukemia in order to develop information materials before the launch.
In/situm carried out in-depth interviews with nurses participating in the clinical study of the medicine in Brazil. The medicine is still in a testing phase and these interviews will provide feedback to people for migrating easily to the medicine. We perceived that the dialogue between nurse and patient is extremely important for training the patient on the use of the medicine. We suggested the use of diaries where patients can write down their interaction with the medication.

Technology for Education

A large telecommunications company needed to develop education concepts based on previous research to serve as inspiration for final products aimed for public education in developing countries.
Insitum proposed to conduct extensive research on alternative forms of education and generate analogies that could lead to technological concepts to improve public education. We conducted observations in schools with different pedagogic methods as well as interviews with teachers.
We generated technology concepts based on the most valuable pedagogical practices such as reducing the number of students per class, immersion, field knowledge and learning through experience. These concepts served as inspiration for our client to outline its design criteria in educational matters for developing countries.
