Professor at the School of Design in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and author of Toothpicks and Logos: Design in Everyday Life, among other titles, John Heskett recently visited our offices in Mexico to talk about design and the creation of value. Transforming the conventional view of design, he suggested that design creates sources of wealth, as a way of serving needs and giving meaning to life. He added that designers should be seen as enablers rather than form givers. Heskett has the wise and contagious conviction that design has the capacity to transform business by substantially enhancing effectiveness and profitability.
